Dear Friend,

As I reflect on the past year, I am amazed at both our accomplishments in 2010 and our challenges for 2011. In spite of tough economic times and the Gulf Oil Spill, we have been blessed with a year of progress, and are truly excited about the work we’ve planned for the coming year. This success is made possible through your partnership and support. It is my hope that as you consider your year-end giving, that you’ll continue to keep our families and community in mind. Allow me to review some of our accomplishments in 2010, and our upcoming projects for 2011:

2010:

  • Named Affiliate of the Year by Habitat for Humanity International for the second year in a row
  • Began construction on Seal Pointe, our new neighborhood in Bay St. Louis that will feature forty-two of the most attractive, green built, affordable homes in the Gulf Coast region.
  • Built the first LEED certified Platinum home in the state of Mississippi.. This is
is the USGBC’s highest level of certification.
  • Our green building efforts were featured in USA Today and Eco Home Magazine.
  • Built 40 new Habitat homes in Hancock County this year, bringing the total number of homes built in five years to 156!
  • More than 2,000 volunteers, partnered with us this year - an increase over prior years.

2011:

  • We will continue building in Seal Pointe.
  • We’ll begin construction on The Villas, a special section of Seal Pointe designed to accommodate the needs of Senior Adults and Adults with Disabilities.
  • We’re launching R3 Green, an innovative program to help green rehab, repair and retrofit program in Hancock County.

Please take a few moments to visit the links at the left to find out more about R3 Green, and the people and families you've helped in Hancock County.

All these things require ongoing support and funding. We appreciate your partnership in the past, and hope that you continue with us in 2011.

With God’s help and your continued friendship we believe our best days and biggest impact
are still in front of us.

Sincerely,
